ROI Résumés founding partner Linda Merry Gutin is a job search coach specializing in guiding professionals through career transitions, including into tech – and in turning job search frowns upside down.

When asked, “How’d you get started doing résumés?,” she quotes a hometown friend: “It’s no surprise Linda G. became a writer/editor. I remember in junior high, when we passed her a note, she’d pass it back with the spelling corrected.”

While being a typo-spotter does not a résumé expert make, studying what motivates people to lead, learn, manage, and maximize productivity and profitability definitely helped. It has allowed her to show clients what career fulfillment looks like, and how to tell stories that highlight their value to land jobs they love.

After a stint with Booz-Allen & Hamilton writing professional bios and a lively corporate newsletter, Linda G. was encouraged to try standup. For several years, while getting on stage in NYC and LA at night, she supported herself writing résumés and cover letters by day. Earlier in her career, Linda G. loved being a customer service supervisor for International Paper Company’s White Papers Group in Memphis.

Born in the Bronx and raised in Teaneck, NJ, Linda G. now resides in Durham, North Carolina, where she also practices writing her own bio in the third person.

Drew Casciano

Drew Casciano is a founding partner of ROI Résumés, a firm specializing in career and job search coaching. Starting out in the banking industry and transitioning into learning, Drew has developed global programs and was selected to travel to Kuala Lumpur to certify in and represent the HSBC Bank’s North American franchise.

Prior to joining ROI, he served in Sales Strategy as First Citizens Bank’s first-ever Business & Commercial Sales Enablement Strategist in its 100-year-plus history. Earlier in his career, as a commercial banker working for global companies, Drew guided the management teams of client companies in developing and executing corporate strategies.

Writing industry briefs and credit reports afforded him the experience of researching and advocating for the same management teams. When the banking industry began to consolidate, Drew had ample opportunity to improve his résumé-writing and interviewing skills.

Raised on New York’s Long Island, Drew holds an undergraduate degree from Union College and an MBA from Fordham University. He lives in the Triangle region of North Carolina with his wife, three sons, one dog, and no less than 11 remotes.
